Ciba Specialty plans Rs 50cr plant in Goa

The board of directors of Ciba Specialty Chemicals (India) today approved a proposal for a new manufacturing facility at the company's Santa Monica Works, Goa, at an estimated cost of Rs 50 crore.

This was announced in a release issued by the company to the BSE today.

"Since the project is mainly for exports, it is proposed to set it up as an export-oriented unit, subject to statutory approvals as may be necessary," the release said.

The board also approved a proposal for setting up an effluent treatment plant at the Goa unit at an estimated cost of Rs 7.50 crore, the release added.
