The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is articulating a case for deregularisation of higher and vocational education to ensure that the country flourishes, said JN Amrolia, chairman (taskforce on HR), CII-southern region.
“We will soon present the case to the Union human resource ministry soon,” Amrolia, who is also the director of Ashok Leyland John Deere Construction Company, said here on Friday. Delivering his keynote address at the ‘HR Conclave – Talent building for emerging India’, organised by CII, he said the industry, across sectors, should take the burden on its shoulders and cry out for the deregularisation.
“The government should allow private players to enter the higher and vocational education sector, rather than people with vested interests, and focus on primary education,” Amrolia added.
