Coal India (CIL) today said it has agreed to provide coal linkage from its Krishnasila coal mines to Hindalco's Renukut captive power plant at a premium of 10 per cent from base price.

"We have agreed to provide 5-6 million tonnes of coal per annum from Krishnasila mines at 10 per cent premium. The total value will be around Rs 300 crore per annum," CIL Chairman Partha S Bhattacharyya said here today.

Earlier, Hindalco had linkages from Jigda mines but now the coal major have agreed to provide coal from new coal mine. Both the mines are under Northern Coalfields but quality varied.

Meanwhile, Bhattacharyya flew to Mumbai for a meeting with Sebi on February 19 for its proposed IPO.
