Citizen Watches (India) Ltd, a fully owned subsidiary of Japan-based Citizen Watch Company, is eyeing a 100 per cent growth from its sales of watches in the Orissa market in 2010.
The company has set a sales target of Rs two crore from its operations in the state in 2010 as against Rs one crore achieved in 2009.
“We are targeting sales of Rs two crore in the Orissa market in this fiscal. Presently, the company has 45 stores in the state out of which five are in Bhubaneswar”, Rajat Dasgupta, senior regional manager (east) told reporters at the launch of the new range of watches of the company.
The company has around 40 per cent market share in the state in the range of wrist watches priced in the range of Rs 3000 to Rs 25000.
The super titanium watches rolled out by the company are priced in the range of Rs 10,000-Rs 25,000.
These watches would be available at all outlets of the state along with Citizen Eco-Drive watches.
