The Bengaluru International Airport (BIA) has rescheduled some flights during the Aero India - 2013 for the smooth conduct of the event. The global aerospace exhibition is scheduled to be held in Bangalore from February 2 to February 10, 2013. The Aero India 2013 will showcase the military and civil aircraft, and technologies at the Air Force Station adjacent to the airport at Yelahanka in Bangalore.

While the event will be conducted from February 6 to February 10, the first practice runs will be held during February 2 - 4, from 10.30 am to 12 noon and from 2 pm to 4 pm. The second run will be held on February 5, from 10.30 am to 12 noon.

Airlines with scheduled aircraft operations that will be impacted during this period have received communication on the reduced operating hours,” said a release from the Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) that operates the BIA.

The ancillary support by airport taxi and bus service providers will be aligned to accommodate the increase in anticipated traffic towards the main airport road (NH7), the release has added.
