"This product will enable customers to choose from the largest selection of direct and indirect flights to any destination worldwide from India," Cleartrip.Com's CEO, Stuart Crighton, said here today.

Cleartrip's is the only international product in the Indian market that allows customers the flexibility to book same day returns and allows last-minute bookings upto 48-hours before departure, he said.

"It allows customers the ability to customise any search parameter based on a variety of options ranging from price to frequency and airport lay overs," he added.

Customers will also be able to make part-payment using their credit cards and the remaining payment through EMI, cheque, bank draft, transfer, debit card or cash, he added.

On the industry, he said that there has been a drop of around 10 to 12 per cent bookings in the last three months, due to rising prices of tickets and inflation, he said.

Speaking on stoppage of commission by airlines, he said, "this has to happen as it happened in many other countries. It is going to be painful initially but in the end there will be rationalisation in the industry which is very much needed in the country."
