Coal India, world’s largest coal producer, has been facing criticism for not being able to cater to domestic demand and its one-billion tonne target seems a distant future. Anil Kumar Jha, who took over as company’s chairman and managing director four months ago, in a conversation with Avishek Rakshit, expressed confidence in increasing coal availability from as soon as November.
