Colgate to pay 27.5% interim dividend

The board of directors of Colgate Palmolive (India), which met today, declared the first interim dividend of 27.5% i.e. Rs 2.75 per share of Rs 10 each for the financial year ending March 31, 2006.

According to a release issued by the company to the BSE today, the interim dividend will be paid on the paid-up equity capital of Rs 135.99 crore involving a total pay-out of Rs 43 crore (including dividend distribution tax).

"The interim dividend declared by the board will be payable on or about August 26, 2005," the release added.
