One of the biggest celebrity reality shows on television has hit a roadblock. General entertainment channel, Colors, may have to tweak its action reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi 3, which was to feature cricketers in its third season as the Board for Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) has asked the players not to participate.

Indian cricketers Yuvraj Singh, Virender Sehwag, Harbhajan Singh, Gautam Gambhir, Zaheer Khan and S Sreesanth, along with Australians Brett Lee and Adam Gilchrist, were to take part in the show. According to industry sources, the risky stunts in the show violated the players’ contract and, hence, BCCI decided not to give its permission.

The episodes featuring the cricketers were to be hosted by film actress Priyanka Chopra and, according to the sources, had a budget of nearly Rs 100 crore. A Colors spokesperson said the channel was working on the issue.

“We will give an official reply on June 1 as our people are looking into it,” the spokesperson said.
