Compact Disc India net rises 109% at Rs 8.35 cr

Compact Disc India (CDI), the largest animation company of South Asia, has reported a 109 per cent growth in its net profit for the first quarter ended June 30, 2008. The company recorded a net profit of Rs 8.35 crore for the quarter, as against Rs 3.98 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
 
Total income stood at 43.36 crore, as compared with Rs. 20.22 crore in the comparable quarter a year ago, reflecting a growth of 114 per cent, earnings per share (EPS) increased to Rs 8.73.
