Compact Disc India to co-produce two international feature films

Compact Disc India (CDI) will co-produce two internation feature films with a budget amounting to $ 54 million. The official annoucement will be made next month in London, the company informed the BSE.

In April, the company's board had approved raising $38.75 million from foreign banks to fund two of its international movie projects. Back then the company has said that it plans to raise another $30 million to fund a live-action World War II-based movie titled Playing with the Enemy. It is for UK. Soccer, a $20.15-million 3D animation movie starring Soccer Star Ronaldo, and Eternal Love, a $15.70 million movie based on a true love story revolving around Taj Mahal, that the funds are being raised.

 

CDI’s will also raise another Rs 25 crore for an upcoming animation studio at Thiruvananthapuram SE, the company had said. CDI is currently working on 2D and 3D animation projects, outsourced by international clients, worth  $65.80 million.
