Concor net up 21%

Container Corporation (Concor), a state-owned enterprise, today reported a net profit of Rs 165.64 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2006, an increase of 21 per cent over the net profit of Rs 136.81 crore posted by it in the year-ago period.
 
The company's total income surged to Rs 767.71 crore in the latest quarter, up 18.6 per cent from Rs 647.41 crore in the quarter ended December 31, 2005, a company statement to the BSE said. Concor also declared an interim dividend of Rs 11 on shares of Rs 10 each.
 
The company said February 1, 2007 has been fixed as the record date for the purpose of payment of interim dividend and the dividend will be paid on or after February 5.
