In stark contrast to focus on voice-based business adopted by its parent company Convergys Worldwide, Convergys India has charted out an aggressive growth strategy including acquisitions in the non-voice based business. The company hopes to achieve 40 per cent growth.

Convergys India is planning to increase revenues from non voice-based business to at least 50-55 per cent in 12 months, against less than 40 per cent at present.

"This is a strategy unique to India as globally the company continues to focus on voice-based business," said Rakesh Chopra, country manager, Convergys India.

"Since the company does not have significant presence in non-voice business, we are looking at acquisitions in the field," Chopra added.

As part of its strategy to move away from voice-based business, Convergys India has identified finance and accounting and supply chain management as the two important areas of focus.
