Core Projects bags Rs 124 cr order

After setting up skill upgradation centres (SUCs) in the state, Mumbai-based Core Projects and Technologies Limited has bagged a Rs 124 crore computer aided learning (CAL) project from the Gujarat government.

The company has also bagged similar CAL & ICT contracts for 2,622 schools in Haryana, 1,250 in Punjab, 947 in Maharashtra, 267 in Meghalaya, and 73 schools in Nagaland.As part of the order ,Core Projects will be required to implement CAL in 3236 primary schools in the state of Gujarat. The latest order is second such large contract from the Gujarat government. Core Projects is already present in 645 schools in Gujarat through an earlier Information and Communication Technology (ICT) contract.

 

According to Sanjeev Mansotra, chairman and global CEO, Core Projects and Technologies Limited, the latest project will augment the focus of Gujarat government to improve the quality of education in schools by ushering in enhanced use of technology. "We are happy to partner the Government of Gujarat in this prestigious project and are confident that the primary school children will be able to get a strong foundation which will go a long way in building a globally competitive India," said Mansotra.
