Targeting the country's billion-dollar teacher-training business, education solutions firm Core Projects and Technology has tied up with the University of Oxford to bring in global standards for the excercise in India.
"University of Oxford and Core Projects will collaborate in the field of teacher capacity building and enablement in the country," Core Projects and Technology said in a statement today.
Oxford will bring in its renowned expertise and modules for enhancing the skill sets of teachers, for which they will work with the HRD Ministry and various state governments, Core Projects said.
"Teacher training and capacity building are very important segments of Indian education and is expected to be a USD one-billion segment over the next five years," Core Projects Chairman and Managing Director Sanjeev Mansotra said.
