Coromandel Fertilisers net up 21% to Rs 84 cr

Coromandel Fertilisers has announced 20.7 per cent increase in net profit to Rs 83.55 crore for 2005-06 compared with Rs 69.2 crore in 2004-05. Net sales increased by 21 per cent to Rs 1,846.91 crore from Rs 1,525.08 crore in 2004-05.
 
On a consolidated basis, the company's net profit increased from Rs 78.38 crore in 2004-05 to Rs 95.38 crore in 2005-06, thus registering an increase of 21.6 per cent.
 
Net sales (consolidated) was up by 21 per cent from Rs 1,530.04 crore in 2004-05 to Rs 1,851.79 crore in 2005-06. In March 2006, the company entered into a share purchase agreement for acquiring 50.27 per cent of the equity capital of Ficom Organics from its promoters.
 
Coromandel Fertilisers Limited (CFL) incorporated in 1964, now belongs to the Rs. 6200 crore Murugappa Group.
