Secunderabad-based Coromandel Fertilisers has posted a net loss of Rs 12.47 crore in the quarter ended March 31, 2009, compared with a net profit of Rs 3.36 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. The company's net sales during the quarter stood at Rs 856.86 crore against Rs 584.43 crore last year, up 46.61 per cent.
The consolidated net profit for the financial year ending March, 2009, rose to Rs 559.50 crore from Rs 210.10 crore, up 166.3 per cent. The net sales during the year was Rs 9,374.98 crore compared with Rs 3,757.34 crore.
On the Bombay Stock Exchange, the company's share prices were trading at Rs 110.50, down 5.07 per cent at IST 1355.
