Castrol Q2 net up 30% to Rs 43.6 crore
Mumbai: Lubricant major Castrol India's net profit for the second quarter ended June 30, 2002 has risen 30 per cent to Rs 43.6 crore against Rs 33.6 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year. The company has announced an interim dividend of Rs 4 per share for the year ending December 31, 2002. Pre-tax profit for the second quarter increased 36 per cent to Rs 63.5 crore (Rs 46.8 crore). Net profit for the half year ended June 30, 2002 rose 29 per cent to Rs 73.7 crore against Rs 57.1 crore for the corresponding period of the previous year. (Our Corporate Bureau)

Chennai: The net profit of Pentamedia Graphics Ltd and its subsidiaries fell 36 per cent to Rs 28.26 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2002, compared with Rs 44 crore in the correspondent previous quarter. Turnover fell 25.5 per cent to Rs 125.20 crore compared with Rs 168.10 crore in the same quarter of the previous year. The net profit of the parent Pentamedia alone stood at Rs 14.52 crore for the quarter, on a turnover of Rs 70.20 crore (Rs 55 crore previously). Strides Arcolab profit zooms 274%
Bangalore: Pharmaceutical company Strides Arcolab has reported a 274 per cent increase in net profit to Rs 5.9 crore in the first quarter of 2002-2003. Its total income rose 70 per cent to Rs 72 crore. "The company's international strategy has started yielding results in the US and Latin America operations," executive director K R Ravishankar said. Monsanto Q1 net up 66.06%
Mumbai: Monsanto India has reported a 66.06 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 17.37 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, 2002, compared with Rs 10.46 crore in the corresponding period of previous year. The total income (net of excise) in the reporting period has increased to Rs 114.26 crore as against Rs 85.41 crore in Q1 of the last financial year. (PTI)
Hikal bottomline rises 16% in Q1
Mumbai: Hikal has reported a 16 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 4.53 crore for the quarter ended June 30, compared with Rs 3.92 crore in the same period of the previous year. Hexaware Q2 profit at Rs 82 lakh
Chennai: Hexaware Technologies has reported consoldiated revenues of Rs 65.2 crore for its second quarter ended June 2002 as compared with Rs 50.9 crores for the immediate preceding quarter, representing a sequential rise of 28 per cent quarter on quarter. Mumbai: Wartsila India ltd has reported a net profit of Rs 1.4 crore for the second quarter ended June 30, 2002, compared to Rs 3.5 crore in same period of previous fiscal.
