Aurobindo Pharma net rises 34% in first quarter

Hyderabad: Aurobindo Pharma has registered a 34 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 15.09 crore for the first quarter ended June against Rs 11.27 crore posted for the corresponding period in the previous year. Total income increased 32 per cent at Rs 250.42 crore (Rs 189.96 crore). Exports during Q1 grew 40 per cent at Rs 116.33 crore while domestic sales grew 23 per cent at Rs 131 crore. The diluted earnings per share stood at Rs 6.86 compared to Rs 5.58. (Our Bureau)

PFC Q1 net up 21% at Rs 392 crore

 

New Delhi: Power Finance Corporation (PFC) has posted a 21 per cent rise in net profit for the first quarter of the current fiscal (April-June 2002) at Rs 392 crore, as against Rs 324 crore recorded during the same period last year. Income from operations increased 17 per cent at Rs 747 crore while profit before tax increased 23 per cent to Rs 432 crore (Rs 351 crore). While loan sanctions are up 40 per cent at Rs 2,387 crore, in comparison to Rs 1,700 crore registered last year. Disbursements stood at Rs 849 crore_a rise of 60 per cent over last quarter, the release said. (Our Economy Bureau)

REC net up 6 per cent at Rs 58 cr in Q1

New Delhi: Rural Electrification Corporation (REC) has posted a 6.02 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 57.94 crore during the first quarter of the current financial year (April-June 2002), as against Rs 54.65 crore during the corresponding period last fiscal. The company has reported a 15 per cent increase in net sales turnover at Rs 386.80 crore (Rs 336.59 crore). Profit before tax has gone up by 7.9 per cent at Rs 72.47 crore (Rs 67.16 crore).
