Sify Dec quarter loss at $6.72 m

Chennai-based internet service provider Sify has reported that its sales revenue increased 24 per cent for the third quarter ended December 31, 2002, while it reported a 12 per cent sequential increase in revenues. The company reported revenues of $10.82 million for the quarter ended December 31, 2002 as against $8.70 million for the same period last year. It had revenues of $9.67 million for the quarter ended September 30, 2002. Net loss for the quarter stood at $6.72 million as compared to $7.78 million for the same period last year and $9.07 million for the immediate past quarter.

 

GE Shipping net slumps 32%

Great Eastern Shipping Company has reported a 32.3 per cent fall in net profit for the quarter ended December 31, 2002, at Rs 47.74 crore against Rs 70.51 crore for the corresponding period of the previous year. Total income fell to Rs 240.91 crore (Rs 293.67 crore). Net profit for the nine months to December feel 22.4 per cent to Rs 134.18 crore (Rs 173.01 crore). Total income fell to Rs 697.52 crore (Rs 916.42 crore).

Indo Rama net zooms 160%

Indo Rama Synthetics (I) has recorded a net profit of Rs 38.93 crore during the third quarter of the current financial year as against Rs 14.97 crore in the corresponding period in 2000-01
