Chennai Petroleum Corporation (CPCL) today posted a net profit of Rs 220.36 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2009.
The company had a net loss of Rs 1,269.89 crore in the same period corresponding fiscal, CPCL said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
Net sales of the company rose to Rs 6,849.84 crore against Rs 5,617.45 crore for the same period corresponding fiscal.
Shares of CPCL were trading at Rs 235.40 on BSE, up 2.86 per cent from its previous close.
