Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd (CPCL) reported a net profit of Rs 703.27 crore for the quarter ending June 30, 2008, which was more than double for the corresponding period during the last fiscal.

</p><p class='TableClas'>Net sales also rose to Rs.11,253.20 crore against Rs 6221.70 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous year.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </P>
</p><p class='TableClas'>The company's total income grew from Rs 6302.18 crore in the corresponding quarter last year to Rs 11,263.33 crore in the current fiscal.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </P>
</p><p class='TableClas'>For the year ended 31 March, 2008 the company registered a total income of Rs 28.147.07 crore, the statement added.</P></p><p class='TableClas'></p></table>
