Cream Bell, the ice-cream arm of Gurgaon-based Devyani Foods Industries Limited, is planning to set up its second ice-cream manufacturing plant in Goa to cater to the western and southern parts of the country by 2010.

Devyani Food chief operating officer Nitin Arora said the plant in Goa would have a capacity of 60,000 litres per day.

Cream Bell currently has a manufacturing plant in Baddi with an installed capacity of 100,000 litres per day. The Baddi plant caters to Himachal, Jammu and Kashmir, Haryana, Punjab, Delhi and Rajasthan.

Arora said the manufacturing plant at Goa would become operational this year. He was here to launch Cream Bell’s new ice-cream flavour ‘Sacch Mucch Aam’.

Commenting on the current year’s plan, Arora said they had already launched Mickey stick in association with Walt Disney.

The company is also launching Triples, an ice candy on a stick. This will come in a combination of three flavours — raspberry, cranberry and strawberry.
