Crisil net up 164% |
Crisil today announced its unaudited financial results for the quarter ended September 30, 2005. Net profit grew by 164 per cent to Rs 14.12 crore compared with Rs 5.35 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. |
Consolidated total income for the group rose 76 per cent to Rs 52.04 crore against Rs 29.63 crore recorded in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. |
The consolidated net profit for the six months ended September 2005, showed a growth of 129 per cent to Rs 19.69 crore against Rs 8.59 crore a year ago. Consolidated total income for the half-year grew by 63 per cent to Rs 89.51 crore compared with Rs 54.93 crore, registered in the previous year. |
The programme to synergise the businesses of Crisil and Standard and Poor's has already been initiated. Meanwhile, the rating agency is likely to largely benefit from the globally recognised brand and S&P's expertise in its efforts to maintain leadership of its businesses. |
Clariant profit up 37% |
Clariant (India) has recorded a sales turnover of Rs 92.7 crore in the second quarter of the current fiscal against Rs 84.4 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, showing a 10 per cent growth. Net profit rose by 37 per cent from Rs 5.2 crore to Rs 7.2 crore. |
For the first half of the financial year, Clariant recorded a turnover of Rs 182.8 crore against 161.4 crore, a 13 per cent growth. Net profit increased 28 per cent from Rs 10.1 crore to Rs 12.9 crore. |
Industry segments, dyes and chemicals and masterbatches have recorded sales growth of 9 per cent and 28 per cent for the quarter and 12 per cent and 41 per cent respectively for the half year ended September 30. |
The textile business has recorded a growth of 24 per cent for the second quarter and 21 per cent for the first half. During the quarter, Clariant received re-certification as ISO 9001 from KPMG. The company's scrip went up by 1.47 per cent to Rs 308 from Rs 303.55. |
Flextronics net up 24% |
Flextronics Software Systems today reported a 24.41 per cent increase in net profit to Rs 32.1 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2005, compared with Rs 25.8 crore during the second quarter last year. |
Total income rose 26.41 per cent to Rs 149.3 crore during April-September 2005 against Rs 118.1 crore during the corresponding period last year, Flextronics informed the Bombay Stock Exchange. |
Net profit grew 10.3 per cent to Rs 55.8 crore during the half year of the year, compared with Rs 50.6 crore during April-September 2004. |
