Crompton Greaves Q4 net up 38%

Crompton Greaves has posted a 38% gain in net profit after tax at Rs 40.73 core for the quarter ended March 31, 2005 as compared to Rs 29.46 crore for the corresponding quarter last fiscal.

According to a release issued by the BSE today, total income has increased from Rs 548.89 crore in Q4-04 to Rs 636.32 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2005.

The company has also posted a net profit after tax of Rs 114.78 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 as compared to Rs 70.83 crore for the year ended March 31, 2004. Total income has increased from Rs 1738.34 crore in FY-04 to Rs 1999 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005.

As per the company's consolidated results, net profit after tax has risen to Rs 117.12 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005 as compared to Rs 75.84 crore reported last fiscal.

Total income has increased from Rs 1770 crore in FY-04 to Rs 2017 crore for the year ended March 31, 2005.
