CSS buys eBramha to get into ERP space

US-based IT services group CSS today announced the acquisition of  eBrahma Technologies in an all cash deal.

"The acquisition gives us a foothold in the enterprise resourse planning (ERP) space for small and medium enterprises," Shiva Ramani, co-founder of CSS Group, said.

The acquisition will contribute 5% of the revenues of CSS Group in the next 12 months. "With the acquisition of eBramha we are hoping to add 5-7 new customers in the next one year," Ramani said.

Coimbatore-based IT services firm eBrahma specialises in business software implementation. It has competence in J2EE,J2ME,C++ and a proven track record in  ERP solutions for SMEs. The company is also a Microsoft business solutions partner for Navision.

"We will expand the expertise of the company in ERP packages for SMEs by SAP," Ramani said.

eBrahma has a 25,000 sq ft facility in Coimbatore and the acquisition marks CSS's foray into Tier 2 cities in India. CSS plans to recruit 150 IT professionals in Coimbatore this year.

This acquisition and the addition of new service offering, is another  step in CSS's plans to become a $100 million IT player in 12-18 months.
