Total consolidated net sales of the company grew by 26 per cent to Rs 2786.99 crore from Rs 2213.99 crore.
On standalone basis, however, the company recorded a growth of 16 per cent in net profit at Rs 280.69 crore for the year ended March 31, 2008 as compared to Rs 242.05 crore for the corresponding year last year.
Total standalone income has increased from Rs 1926.12 crore to Rs 2453.49 crore. During the fourth quarter of the last fiscal year, the company posted a 15 per cent growth in net profit at Rs 75.60 crore as compared to Rs 65.68 crore in the comparable quarter last year. It reported a total income of Rs 528.55 crore as against Rs 716.39 crore.
