Around 150 students from the first year passed out of the J D Birla school this year and will be enrolled for the advanced course next year.
The personality development and grooming course was priced at Rs 1,300 per student, said Deepali Singhi, principal of the J D Birla Institute. The course would now be offered round the year, she added.
At present, the course was available only to the commerce stream students but will be extended to the other departments this year.
Speaking on the sidelines of an award function, Pradip Kumar Chopra, managing director and chairman of the PS group and a faculty member of the course, said the group had embarked upon several such initiatives to train and groom youngsters.

Apart from Supersoft, its other projects included Nayeedisha for educating the slum children, and project Sunshine for educating the underprivileged and orphans from juvenile homes.
Recently, it launched a course at an ITI in Gariahat. Chopra said that due to IT to ITES sectors, the real estate and infrastructure sectors would requires around a million trained and well groomed people annually.
This course would fulfill this requirement as it taught students to interact, converse, negotiate and persuade in the employment market.
J D Birla Institute, affiliated to Jadavpur University, ran a similar finishing school course for a fee of Rs 6000. It was a part time course conducted three times a week during vacation and was different from the Super soft course backed by the PS Group.
