FMCG major Dabur India today announced its entry into the malted food drink (MFD) market with the launch of its new health drink Dabur Chyawan Junior across the country.

The company said it hopes to capture about 10 per cent share of the Rs 1,900-crore MFD market within the next two years.

"Dabur is putting in a concerted effort towards offering the benefits of Chyawanprash to a wider audience with the national roll out of this innovative product," Dabur India Executive Vice President-Marketing (HealthCare) K K Rajesh said in a release here.

The product was test marketed in states like Maharashtra and West Bengal last year, Rajesh said.

"The test market revealed that the modern day consumer is demanding more from their energy drinks than just taste and modification through flavours," he said.

With ayurvedic herbs as its key ingredient, Dabur Chyawan Junior would be available in 500 gm bottle, 500 gm refill and 90 gm sachet and with chocolate as its main flavour.
