Dabur Pharma PBT zooms 47%

Dabur Pharma recorded a profit before tax (PBT) of Rs 17.73 crore for the first quarter ended June 30, an increase of 49.6 per cent as against Rs 11.82 crore in the corresponding period last year. Gross sales stood at Rs 80.67 crore for the quarter ended June 30, a rise of 11.7 per cent as compared with Rs 72.21 crore in the year-ago period, according to a company statement.

Videocon Q3 net up 4% at Rs 255 cr

Consumer Durables major Videocon Industries on Thursday announced a net profit of Rs 255.07 crore for the third quarter ended June 30, a 4.06 per cent growth from that in the corresponding period a year-ago.

 

The firm had a net profit of Rs 245.11 crore in third quarter of FY08, Videocon said. The total income rose 15.67 per cent to Rs 2,620.43 crore in the quarter under review, from Rs 2,265.35 crore a year-ago.

Global Vectra Q1 net loss at Rs 17 cr

High fuel costs combined with increased expenses on manpower and spare parts have negatively impacted helicopter charter service provider Global Vectra Helicorp’s net profit in the first quarter ended June 30, 2008. The company has posted a net loss of Rs 17.54 crore in QI FY09 as against a net profit of Rs 10.81 crore in the year ago period, it said.

RSWM Q1 net loss at Rs 26 cr

Textile firm Rajasthan Spinning and Weaving Mills on Thursday announced a net loss of Rs 26.21 crore for the quarter ended June 30, on account of foreign exchange losses. RSWM had reported a net profit of Rs 5.05 crore in the quarter ended June 30, 2007.

The company in the period reported loss on foreign exchange fluctuations of Rs 22.45 crore, including Rs 20.16 crore on valuation of outstanding forex derivatives and contracts on mark-to-market basis, RSWM said.
