Dabur Q4 net rises 55%

Spurred by faster growth in the juices category and increased penetration in the southern markets, domestic FMCG firm Dabur India (DIL) witnessed a 55 per cent jump in net profit at Rs 41.22 crore during the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2005, compared with the same period last year. Turnover grew 8.63 per cent to Rs 312.77 crore.
 
"Our south India focus is beginning to yield high returns with sales from the region increasing 24 per cent in the last fiscal. The Real brand of packaged juices also crossed the Rs 100 crore barrier last year while Dabur Amla, our flagship hair oil brand raked in Rs 200 crore," said Sunil Duggal, CEO, DIL.
