Dabur rolls-out sugar-free form of Chyawanprash

Homegrown FMCG, Dabur India, today announced the national roll-out of ChyawanPrakash, a sugar-free variant of Chyawanprash. The variant is targeted at the calorie-conscious consumers.

The company adds to address the need of the consumer in times of obesity warnings and cholesterol alerts, Dabur has developed the sugar-free ChyawanPrakash.

ChyawanPrakash is said to offer the goodness of Chyawanprash, in a sugar-free form that makes it more appealing to the health-conscious consumers and is safe for diabetics.

"ChyawanPrakash is a concoction of over 40 natural ingredients that protects from day to day ailments like cold & cough, helps provide strength & stamina and helps in healthy ageing," a company release said.

Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan will endorse the product by a TVC that communicates how the goodness of Ayurveda and Androoni Shakti comes Sugar Free.

"This launch comes at a time when Dabur is putting in a concerted effort at expanding the category and usage of Chyawanprash. Dabur's entry into the sugar-free segment with Dabur ChyawanPrakash is yet another step in this direction, and given the strong equity of our products we are sure that Dabur Chyawanprakash will certainly win consumer confidence," K K Chutani, general manager marketing, Dabur India, said.
