Daewoo Motor Rated Most Eco-Friendly

Daewoo Motor India Ltd is the most environment-friendly automobile manufacturer in the country, as per the findings of the Green Rating Project (GRP) of the Centre for Science and Environment (CSE), a Delhi-based NGO, released here today.

Daewoo India leads the pack with a score of 43.50 out of 100. It is followed by Hyundai Motors India with a score of 41.93 and General Motors India with 40.77. All told, nine out of the 29 automobile manufacturers that participated got the three-leaf rating which indicates a score of 35-45. With the exception of Hero Honda, all the hree-leaf companies were in the passenger car segment.

 

Overall, the automobile sector clocked a score of 31.4 deserving a rank of only two leaves.
