The Indian research and development arm of German luxury car maker Daimler is looking to rapidly expand its operations in the country and inaugurated its third facility in Bengaluru today.

The centre situated in the Whitefield locality of the city has a seating capacity for 900 people, is spread across nearly 1.2 lakh square feet and neighbours the Mercedes-Benz Research and Development India (MBRDI) head office.

"The digital transformation of our company is in full swing and is affecting our entire value chain. "With 19 years behind us, we are excited about our growth and what we offer here at MBRDI. We have graduated higher up the value chain and contributing significantly in some niche areas of digital product development," said Manu Saale, MD and CEO at MBRDI.
