DaimlerChrysler mulls bus tie-up with Indian firms

German-US auto maker DaimlerChrysler is in talks with a number of Indian groups, including Sutlej Motors, with a view to possible cooperation in bus production.

"We are examining the conditions for a market entry in India and in this connection we are also holding talks with Sutlej,"  the business daily Handelsblatt quoted a DaimlerChrysler spokesman as saying.

DaimlerChrysler was also in talks with other potential partners in India, the newspaper added, without revealing its sources.
