The company had a PAT of Rs 61.81 crore in the same period last year.
The company's total income also rose by 14.99 per cent to Rs 382.25 crore during the latest quarter, against Rs 332.41 crore in the corresponding period last year, Dalmia Cement said in a statement.
Dalmia Cement's consolidated net profit for the year ended March 31 stood at Rs 368.76 crore, compared to Rs 229.01 crore in the year ago period, a jump of 61.02 per cent.

Its consolidated total income soared 44.37 per cent to Rs 1,649.05 crore in FY08 from Rs 1,142.24 crore in FY07, the statement said.
"Capacity expansions and improved realisations have help drive up revenues," the company said.
During 2007-08, the company carried out a Rs 476-crore capacity expansion programme.
Dalmia Cement is currently undertaking the construction of two greenfield projects, one at Cadapa in Andhra Pradesh, while the other is at Ariyalur in Tamil Nadu.
Cadapa project is expected to get commissioned during the second half of this year and Ariyalur plant would start production by March 2009.
