DB Corp Q1 net profit dips 27.63% at Rs 46 cr

Media group DB Corp today said its standalone net profit dipped by 27.63% to Rs 45.87 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2012 mainly on account of rise in cost of raw materials and other expenses.

The company had posted a net profit of Rs 63.39 crore for the corresponding period of previous fiscal, DB Corp said in a filing to BSE.

Standalone total income from operations of the company however rose to Rs 374.20 crore for the quarter under consideration from Rs 351.54 crore for the year ago period.

In another filing to the BSE, the company said its Board of Directors have recommended a final dividend of Rs 1.50 per equity share with face value of Rs 10 each.

The company's board had declared and paid two interim dividends of Rs 1.75 each per equity share of Rs 10 each, it added.

Shares of DB Corp were today trading at Rs 200.50 in the late after noon trade on BSE, up 2.79% from its previous close.
