Textile firm DCM today reported an over five-fold increase in its net profit for the quarter ended June 30 at Rs 5.67 crore.
The company had posted a net profit of Rs 1.02 crore in the same period last fiscal, DCM said in a filing to the Bombay Stock Exchange.
The total income during the first quarter also jumped by 39.84 per cent to Rs 72.27 crore from Rs 51.68 crore in the corresponding period last year, it added.
The company's scrip today dipped 2.21 per cent and closed at Rs 95.10 on the BSE.
DCM manufactures and distributes cotton and synthetic yarns, textiles, aluminium and grey iron castings, electric data processing and buisness machines.
