Hyderabad-based publisher of newspapers and periodicals Deccan Chronicle Holdings Limited has posted a 26.3 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 77.02 crore in the first quarter ended June 30, compared with a profit of Rs 60.98 crore recorded during the corresponding quarter last year.
Revenues grew by 12.1 per cent to Rs 223.70 crore from Rs 199.46 crore during the same period.
The company's board had declared an interim dividend of Re 1 per equity share of Rs 2 face value. Its scrip was trading on BSE at Rs 103.60, down 0.38 per cent over the previous day's close of Rs 104.
