Deccan logs passenger volume of 15 mn |

Air Deccan, low cost air carrier, has clocked passenger volume of 15 million mark and has also recorded a 23% year-on-year increase compared to the level in 2006. The company in a release said it has notched up a record high of 81% in the average load factor from January to July 2007 as against the average load factor of 76% in the last calendar year. This year Deccan has already flown 6.79 million passengers as against 5.55 million passengers flown between January and December 2006. The 5.55 million passenger figure was crossed by September this year while the 15 million passenger mark was crossed recently. It is further estimated that by December 31, 2007, about 7.3 million passengers would have flown Deccan, in this year alone.
