According to Patel, the total demand for ordinary lamps in India is approximately 30 lakh per day out of which only three to four lakh worth of demand has been converted into demand for CFL lamps. The total market size for lamps in India is Rs 2500"Rs 3000 crore. Of this, Rs 750 crore worth of market is for CFL lamps. |
"The market for CFL is growing at 15 to 20 per cent" said Patel. Currently, the company has a production capacity of 20,000 CFL lamps daily that will be further increased to one lakh per day by the end of the year 2007. |
