Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals Corporation today said its net profit has risen by 19% at Rs 52.71 crore for the quarter ended March 31 against Rs 44.16 crore in the year-ago period.
The total income rose by 32% to Rs 428.48 crore as against Rs 323.83 crore during the period under review, the company said in a statement.
During the entire last fiscal, the company's net profit increased to Rs 186.61 crore as against Rs 172.05 crore in the previous year.
The total income rose by 21% to Rs 1,564.82 crore during last fiscal against Rs 1,287.98 crore in the previous fiscal.
"PAT for the year under review is not comparable with the previous financial year given the exceptional gain of Rs 25.71 crore (net) arising from sale of surplus land in FY10 as against a exceptional loss of Rs 3.38 crore arising from the reconstruction at Ishanya," the statement said.
Ishnaya is a shopping mall developed by the company.
