Tokyo-headquarterd Dentsu Inc has completed the acquisition of British media giant Aegis nine months after it first announced it was acquiring the agency.
The companies under Aegis will continue their operations within the Dentsu Group under the Aegis Media banner, the Japanese major said in a statement.
Aegis' companies include Carat, Isobar, Vizeum, Aztec, Posterscope and iProspect.
Dentsu also announced the creation of the Dentsu Aegis Network Ltd, a new global operating unit based in London, to manage the global operations of the Japanese giant outside of its home nation as well as Aegis Media's worldwide operations. Dentsu's global operations have bunched under a unit called Dentsu Network, which will operate separately from Aegis Media, the group said. But both will be governed by the management team of Dentsu Aegis Network comprising senior members of the two agency networks.
