Hyderabad-based Dhanush EnggServices India Private Limited has tied up with National Skill Development Council (NSDC) under which the former would provide training to students in the MEP (mechanical, electrical and plumbing) space.

“Under the agreement, Dhanush will train nearly 100,000 students in the MEP sector in the next 10 years,” Chakradhar M, founder and chief executive officer of MEP centre of Dhanush, said in a press release.

“We will train 81,674 students of which 44,626 will be HVAC (heating, ventilating and air-conditioning),  and 37,050 will be electrical and plumbing,” he said.

Dhaush currently has offices in Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, New Delhi and Maharashtra. It is planning to open offices in Bhopal and Bangalore shortly, he said, adding that the total expenditure for the NSDC project was estimated to be Rs 4.67 crore.

Stating that 40 out of every 100 jobs that existed in the construction sector in India today were related to MEP, Chakradhar said a huge demand existed in the West Asian region.

“This is a great opportunity to export skilled manpower to overseas,” he said, adding that Dhanush would be giving nearly 50,000 technicians to the MEP industry.
