Diageo to expand captive shared services centre to 1,000 people

British liquor major Diageo, which owns majority in United Spirits in India, has opened its captive back office in Bengaluru, which it expects to scale to over 1,000 people by next year.

Diageo's first captive shared services centre in India will focus on finance and accounting and expand its services in areas such as business intelligence, analytics and data services. It already has around 100 people in the centre.

Diageo has four such units in Manila, Nairobi, Budapest and Bogota.
