Clearock Enterprises (CE) Private Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of US based Clearock Inc. that direct sells creams and "health drinks", has started operations in India, from Bangalore. |
CE will use some $25 million put up by V Akella, an entrepreneur, to grow its direct selling network in the country, a release said here on Friday. |
CE's products will be targetted at the young and affluent. The creams include FLEX-IZY and FLEX-IZY HP, No-iTcH, Solemate and VITALOOK. A drink, ONE SHOT, will also be marketed, the release said. |
To reach its consumer base, CE will use "satisfied consumers themselves as brand messengers instead of the traditional channels of distribution and retail outlets," said Mr. Bala Bhagavat, the firm's chief executive officer. |
CE will offer these direct sales advisors an income sharing plan, designed with multiple streams of income, depending on consumption, retail sales, development of small direct sales teams or management of large teams and not from recruitment. |
CE will invest some Rs 10 crore in its first year of operations, setting up sales and business centres and manufacturing facilities. |
