Dish TV India Ltd, Zee group's DTH arm, is planning to bring in more international television channels, which is likely to push up the average revenue per user (ARPU) for Dish TV.

"We have a capacity of 400 channels but are at present offering 170 channels only. Going forward, we want to bring in more television channels, particularly the popular international ones," informed Anindya Sengupta, DVP sales - east of Dish TV. The introduction of foreign channels is likely to push up ARPU.

At present, Dish TV enjoys an ARPU of close to Rs 260. "With the introduction of more paid international channels, ARPU may go up, depending on what the channels charge," Sengupta informed.
