Total income from operations grew 34 percent to Rs 1,095.38 crore in this quarter as compared with Rs 817.09 crore in the year ago period.
For the full year ended March, 2016 the company's consolidated net profit stood at Rs 1,111.85 crore, an increase of 30.57 percent as compared with Rs 851.52 crore in the previous year. Total income grew by 21.23 per cent to Rs 3,776.36 crore from Rs 3,114.94 crore in the previous year.
In the year 2015-16, the company had a forex gain of Rs 24 crore as compared to Rs 2 crore in the previous year. Exports constituted 88 percent of sales. Advanced markets in North American and Europe accounted for 75 percent of the exports, according to the company.
Divi's board has declared an interim dividend of Rs 10 per equity share of Rs 2 each. The company has already disbursed the dividend amounting to Rs 265.47 crore, it said in a filing.
The company is primarily engaged in the manufacture of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) and intermediaries.
