Buoyed by the response from the Northern region, Jubilant Foodworks Ltd, the master franchise of Domino's Pizza was planning to add 12-14 Domino's outlets by the end of this year in the region. These outlets would be mainly concentrated in Punjab, Haryana and Uttarakhand among others. It would attract an investment of Rs 15 crore.
"North India is a critical market for us and the consumers here have shown a great affinity to our brand. In the past few years, this region has seen a double digit growth in terms of system and same store growth. So, we are planning to open 12-14 outlets by the end of this year," said Ajay Kaul, chief executive officer.
It currently has about 47 stores across the Northern region, comprising Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir.
Meanwhile, for future growth opportunities for store network expansion across North India, the company, on Wednesday launched its commissary in Mohali to cater to the region with an investment of Rs 12 crore. The commissary would cater to all Domino's Pizza and Dunkin' Donuts outlets in five states apart from Chandigarh, namely: Punjab, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Himachal and Jammu & Kashmir. The commissary spans an area of 25,000 sq ft and is equipped with the latest technology and automated machinery.
