Don't expect huge returns from stk mkts: Kotak

Uday Kotak, executive vice chairman and managing director of Kotak Mahindra Bank, today advised investors to put appropriate margins with brokers and not to expect unrealistic returns from the stock markets.

"Investors should put appropriate margins with the brokers or else the pains are enormous," Kotak said today.

He further said investors should take a long-term view of the market. "In two years, we have received 300% returns and this year it is 10% returns," he said.

Kotak maintained that its important to take a holistic view of the market as it may go up or down.
